Lesson 2

This lesson is important as it links God's overarching Story with our individual lives. In it, I'll introduce a paradigm that I have found very helpful in illustrating John 15 about abiding in Christ. There is no way we can live a beautiful life by depending on our own energy or strength. Christ is both the life-giving water and the vine through which this water flows. If we are not connected with Him, the nature of the human heart will find some other alternate source to abide in--we are not neutral in our affections. What we abide in will impact what comes out of us.
